MAHER ROSS BANS TENANT FEES!!!

Maher Ross no longer charge any application or renewal fees!

Maher Ross have decided to drop almost all fees well before the Tenant Fee Ban becomes law - Maher Ross tenants will not be charged any fees to set up or run a tenancy other than rent, utilities and damages. Most other agencies are waiting until the 1st June 2019 to follow suit.

It is legally permissable for agents and landlords to charge some periodic tenancy fees to existing tenants for up to a year after this date - if this is the case, move to a Maher Ross property and save yourself some money!

The Tenant Fee ban becomes law on the 1st June 2019 and also affects a number of other aspects of renting a property.  For example, all new deposits will be capped at a maximum of 5 weeks' rent - or 6 weeks if you're unfortunate enough to have to pay over £50,000 in rent every year!

Maher Ross have taken another proactive stand on deposits - we'll be returning the majority of deposits that add up to more than 5 weeks of your current rent - that's most tenancies with a monthly rent of below £650 pcm.

Graham Jolliffe, Director of Maher Ross said "This is a great change for tenants because it makes it easier and more afordable to move - some of the fees other agents were charging were ridiculous".
