Edward and Alex Cycle to Istanbul for Charity!

We're delighted to announce that Edward Jolliffe and Alex Liddell have made it to Istanbul - having cycled a distance of 3000 miles for charity.

The lads are raising awareness and funds for the Retinitis Pigmentosa 'Fighting Blindness' campain and the Maher Ross team has been proud to sponsor them.  They set of from Buckingham Palace, London on 11 November 2012 and it took them roughly 4 months to cover the distance.  Their progress was significantly hampered by some of the coldest weather on record throughout Europe - on occasion reaching minus 25 degrees centigrade at night; and a balmy minus 18 degrees centigrade during the day.

Despite having cycled through a harsh winter - which included forcing their bikes for miles through waist high snow, the lads have remained really cheerful and whilst time is now becoming a bit short, they hope to continue their journey from Istanbul to Vietnam.

You can support them by visiting their website at www.cycletovietnam.com and by clicking on the Virgin Giving link.  All donations will go directly to the charity and will be very gratefully received.
